About Me
My journey into marine science began during my undergraduate studies at Ben-Gurion University, where I explored how adding complexity to artificial coastal structures could increase fish diversity. For my master’s degree at the Interuniversity Institute in Eilat, I investigated how different levels of shelter on breakwaters influence coral survival, settlement, and water flow. This project deepened my passion for ecological engineering and the ways we can design human-made structures to better support marine life. My findings were published in international and local journals.
Today, as a PhD student, I’m combining my love for the ocean and my curiosity for history by studying how biological processes affect the preservation of submerged archaeological artifacts. This work brings together marine biology and underwater archaeology—two worlds that, in my eyes, tell one continuous story about our relationship with the sea.
Looking forward, I hope to keep building bridges between science, heritage, and sustainability—helping us protect both the living and the ancient worlds hidden beneath the waves.
