I am a postdoctoral researcher studying the complex processes of coral formation and how coral skeletons adapt to environmental stressors.

I investigate the structural and developmental mechanisms of stony corals by using advanced high-resolution X-ray imaging and characterization techniques, such as micro- and nano-computed tomography, as well as X-ray fluorescence and diffraction at synchrotron beamline facilities.

My work involves analyzing mineral density distribution, phase presence, and elemental composition in corals.

My research aims to predict the impacts of ocean acidification and climate change on coral reef ecosystems, specifically how pH changes affect coral organisms and their mineralization processes during different growth phases.
