Background

I am a first year PhD student at Mass Coral Lab, where my research focuses on recruitment and biomineralization across different life stages in the Red Sea Coral Stylophora pistillata and the Mediterranean coral Oculina Patagonica

My project contributes to a broader initiative aimed at developing science-based solutions for coral restoration in the face of climate-induced stress.

Originally from South America, I have a biology and humanities background, and a MSc in tropical ecology. I am passionate about coral reef ecology, conservation, restoration, and climate change biology.

Before my PhD, I worked in different projects spanning Asia, the Americas, and Oceania, focusing on microbioerosion, coral reef monitoring, shipwreck fish diversity, deep-sea coral growth, and coral diversity affected by benthic trawling.
