Join the Lab: Exploring the Frontiers of Biomineralization and Morphogenesis

We are seeking motivated, curious, and hardworking MSc candidates eager to tackle fundamental questions in cellular, developmental, and evolutionary biology. Our research sits at the intersection of biological complexity and physical constraints, utilizing a multidisciplinary toolkit that includes:

• Advanced Embryology & Molecular Biology

• High-Resolution Imaging

• Mathematical Modeling & Bioinformatics

Our Core Research Areas:

1. Mechanosensing & Focal Adhesion: How cells recognize and interface with the biomineralization compartment.

2. Vesicular Trafficking: Investigating how the cytoskeleton machinery regulates transport into the biomineralization space.

3. Genetic & Mechanical Information Processing: Exploring the co-evolution of these systems during the onset of biomineralization in echinoderms.

4. Novel Frontiers: We are always open to new directions that pushes the boundaries of our current understanding.

Note on Positions: While our current primary funding is designated for MSc positions, exceptionally qualified PhD or Postdoc candidates with a strong interest in our work are always welcome to reach out to discuss potential future opportunities or fellowship applications.
