What's it all about?
Career tech programs, once called vocational education, offer high school students the opportunity to receive hands-on career training which prepares them to enter the workforce or jump start their new beginnings towards higher education.
Students often excel in career tech programs because they learn-by-doing within a program area they are interested in. Simulations, demonstrations, and actual boots-on-the-ground work in class lead to more experienced, confident, and safe workers.
Marlington High School partners with Alliance High School to offer more career tech programs to all students throughout 3 different schools: Marlington, Alliance, and Salem. Students at these schools may take a career tech program at their home school, or one of the other schools.
