Welcome 7th Grade Families!
My name is Dr. Biri and I will be your 7th grade counselor at MMMS. I am excited to start my 6th year with Marlboro Township Public Schools! While this is my 6th year in Marlboro, I have 10+ years working in different school-based settings ranging from elementary through high school.
I am so excited to be joining you on your journey through middle school this year! You are welcome to reach out at any point along the way with any questions, concerns, or ways we can continue supporting the social-emotional-academic endeavors of middle school!
Here's a little about me!
My husband is a high school history teacher and we have two amazing little boys who are 5 and 7. We love playing and watching sports, beach vacations, and spending time outside with friends and family! Our new family hobby is vegetable gardening!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and hold additional licenses to practice in Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia. I also have my Clinical Supervision Certification.
I have my Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University.

I recently wrote a chapter for a book on Social Work in the Age of (Dis) Connection and focusing on emotional intelligence traits and online activism that was published in May 2022.
I have experiences in a wide range of mental health settings: Substance Abuse Agency, Partial Care/IOP Program, Intensive In-Home Counseling, Alternative Behavioral School, Vocational School, Continuing Education programs, and a Private Practice setting.
Basically, to sum it up, I LOVE MY JOB!
