MMMS Cheer

This year we are excited to announce we will have TWO Cheer Teams at MMMS! 

*6th/7th Grade Team*

*8th Grade Team*

Cheer Coaches:

Dr. Biri and Mrs. Dorn

Tryouts are a 4 day process. 

Day 1-3 is a clinic where you will learn the cheer and dance which you will use for tryouts on Day 4. You will also work on motions and splits.

Dates for Clinic: Monday, 11/16 - Wednesday, 11/20

Dates for Tryout: Thursday, November 21st

• Everything will begin promptly at 2:30.  

• This will give you 15 minutes after 8th period to change into school-appropriate, comfortable clothing (such as leggings and a t-shirt) in the locker room. Have a healthy snack and report to the GYM.  YOU MUST BE ON TIME!

• If you cannot come to tryouts on any one of these days, you must let Dr. Biri and Mrs. Dorn know in writing at least one day before. 

• Tryouts are judged by a panel of teachers not affiliated with the cheer team.

• Each day we will finish by 4:00.  All students are expected to be picked up at this time.

If you make the team, cheerleading is 4-5 days per week after school from the middle of November until the end of January. You are either practicing or cheering at games and could be at school until 4:15-5:00. Before trying out, please make sure that you can make this commitment.
