Introduction to Manufacturing is a one-semester course. Introduction to Manufacturing is a hands-on class designed to introduce students to the technical drawing process, materials science, mechanical/structural design, creative problem-solving, and other manufacturing and design concepts. Students will have the opportunity to make a wooden bowl, baseball bat, bandsaw, jewelry box, and wooden airplane. These projects will exercise their ability to follow drawings and written instructions. They will also explore CAD/CAM (computer aided drawing and manufacturing) using our CNC machine.
