Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District: Unlocking Potential...Together
A parent/guardian may excuse their child for up to ten (10) school days in any school year. Please contact the school to report absences.
Every effort should be made by the parent/guardian to notify the school of an absence no later than 9:00 a.m.
Daily attendance is taken and recorded in Infinite Campus.
Parent/guardian will be contacted if a student’s absence has not been reported.
Students who are more than ten (10) minutes late for class are considered tardy.
A school attendance officer may request that the parent or guardian provide a written statement from a licensed physician, dentist, etc. As defined in WI Stat. 255.06(1)(d). Best practice is to obtain a doctor’s excuse when visiting the doctor’s office, especially if an extended absence is needed. In all cases, after ten (10) days of excused absences, all future absences will be considered unexcused unless a medical excuse (i.e. doctor’s note) is provided.
Parent/guardian(s) of students requiring early dismissal for family reasons, doctor’s appointments, etc., should notify the office before 9:00 a.m. on the day they require early dismissal. No change in transportation should be made after 3:00 p.m.
Notification can occur in the following forms in order for students to be issued a pass to leave school: parent/guardian may call the school office, email the school secretary, or send your child with a written note.
Parent/guardian must enter the school to pick up a child who is leaving school early.
