The MHS Dance department creates a dance space for all students. Absolute beginners to lifelong dancers have a place in the dance department. We offer dance electives during the school day, an after-school team, and host a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.

Dancers involved in MHS Dance programming have opportunities to perform for local audiences, travel to state dance festivals, and attend professional performances and masterclasses. Recently, MHS Dance has partnered with local dance studios to co-host a dance benefit for The Andrea Rizzo Foundation. Dancers come together to raise awareness and funds for dance programming to be offered in hospitals and hospital schools across the country. MHS Dance alumni have continued their dance education by majoring in dance in college and continuing to perform in regional stagings of The Nutcracker.
