Our Philosophy
At Jordan Jackson, we believe that all students are musicians and should have the opportunity to make music in some shape or form. Music is important for social, emotional, cognitive, and academic growth and development.

I teach third, fourth, and fifth grade music classes as well as co-direct the Jordan/Jackson Elementary Chorus. I also teach the CHAMPS after school keyboard classes and play piano for the high school musical.
I love to listen to, play, and sing all genres of music. When I'm not making music, I like to read, hike, and spend time outdoors.

This is my 30th year teaching general music and chorus. In 3rd grade I announced to my class that I was going to be a music teacher when I grew up, and here I am! In my time away from school I perform when I can, but I'm an avid hockey player (yep)! I've had the privilege of traveling to far-off places. My goal is to visit all 7 continents, so far I've been to 4. Most of my travel is focused on animals. I LOVE CATS!!!!
I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you in our year together in music!
