Letter from our Principal

Dear Kindergarten Families,

On behalf of my Kindergarten teachers and staff, I wish to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you! We cannot wait until next fall when we get to meet our newest members of the Robinson School.

The Robinson Elementary School is a very warm and welcoming place.  Our teachers and staff go the extra mile to ensure students feel safe and cared for during the school day.  We believe that when our students feel secure, their best learning takes place.  We are proud to carry out our Robinson core values each day by being kind, safe, and responsible to one another.

Our Kindergarten teachers are committed to providing a nurturing and rigorous academic, social and emotional learning experience for your child.  Kindergarten teachers provide a variety of learning experiences including direct instruction, small group learning activities, independent tasks, and social play opportunities.  All of these experiences are designed to create a sense of wonder, encourage exploration, and foster academic and social development.

As you and your child prepare for the first day of Kindergarten, please continue to build those pre-Kindergarten skills by reading aloud to your child each day, practicing the letters and sounds of the alphabet and counting with numbers and groups of objects.  All of these basic activities will make a big difference in your child’s readiness for Kindergarten.

Please continue to check back on the Kindergarten Site for registration information.  We will also send Kindergarten newsletters to you to keep you updated and informed of Kindergarten events.
