In 8th Grade General Music, we finish out learning about ukuleles, guitars, and music theory. We learn about music production through Garage Band, and we finish out the quarter with a student-set musical goal to work towards. We listen to a song every day, and discuss its characteristics, context, instrumentation, and message as a class in order to get students to listen critically to the music they hear in their everyday lives.
