In 6th Grade General Music, we continue upon what we learned in 5th grade. We learn more complex music theory, and more complex ukulele chords. We apply the music theory we learn to writing a song at the end of the quarter. We listen to a song every day, and discuss its characteristics, context, instrumentation, and message as a class in order to get students to listen critically to the music they hear in their everyday lives.
