In 7th Grade General Music, we review and build upon the ukulele and music theory units that we learned in 5th-6th grade. This year, we apply those skills and concepts to playing the guitar. We listen to a song every day, and discuss its characteristics, context, instrumentation, and message as a class in order to get students to listen critically to the music they hear in their everyday lives.
