Calculator Requirements for 7-12 Mathematics Manor Lakes P-12 College
Students choosing to study a Mathematics subjects as part of the VCE program at Manor Lakes P-12 College in 2025 are required to purchase and bring an approved calculator to every lesson. This is a requirement set by VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority), the body which governs all rules and regulations in regards to VCE subjects.
If a student selects to study VCE Foundation Mathematics, a standard scientific calculator is required – see images below for some examples:

If a student selects to study VCE General Mathematics, VCE Mathematical Methods and/or Specialist Mathematics, they are required to have a graphics/CAS calculator for the whole two-year course in order to pass. See image below for the Texas TI-Nspire CAS (preferred) and the CASIO Classpad CAS approved calculators:
