The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of goals that aim to transform the world. They were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Sustainability efforts at Mangalam span across departments and goals alike — every department contributes in its own area of strength, and activities collectively touch nearly all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The strongest progress has been made in Quality Education (SDG 4) and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), followed by solid contributions to Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16) — while a few goals, particularly Life Below Water (SDG 14), remain areas for future growth, reflecting a shared, institution-wide commitment that continues to evolve.
