In our pursuit of excellence, Mangalam College of Engineering  proudly introduce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Cell, a dedicated initiative aligning with the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

To promote awareness, education, and action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals through innovative teaching, research, and community engagement. The cell aims to nurture socially responsible and environmentally conscious professionals who contribute to sustainable and inclusive development

The SDG Cell acts as a driving force in embedding the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as adopted by the United Nations and its member countries, into our academic activities and community initiatives. Through collaborative efforts, the SDG Cell organizes workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs, embedding sustainability into the fabric of our institution.

Our SDG Cell is spearheaded by dedicated individuals committed to driving sustainable change. Dr. Simy Mary Kurian, Head of the Department of CSE, served as the Dean of the SDG Cell, alongside other eminent professors from various departments of Mangalam College of Engineering.

What are SDGs?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They provide a shared blueprint for peace, prosperity, and environmental sustainability by addressing global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, and access to quality education and healthcare.

The 17 interconnected goals encourage governments, educational institutions, industries, and communities to work collaboratively towards creating a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future for all.
