All students at your school have their own Rangitaki Portfolio. This is automatically set up for them by the school's Manaiakalani facilitator or Shannon in the office. Your teacher will organise a time in class for you to received access to your Rangitaki Portfolio.
You do not need to make a blog or a portfolio.
Your teacher will let you know when they want you to post something on your Rangitaki Portfolio. This is where you will share what you have been learning.
There are also class blogs. Teachers use class blogs to show what classes are learning. Sometimes your teacher will ask you to comment on a post on the class blog. They will give you some guidelines around how to do that.
Your Rangitaki Portfolio invite will be sent to your email inbox. Once you have received the invite, you will need to set up your online blog profile correctly. Your profile name should be your first name and the initial of your surname.
Work through the slide deck to the right to help you. You will then be the author of your Rangitaki Portfolio.
When you start publishing work to your Rangitaki Portfolio you are not just a writer but a publisher as well. Through the WYSIWYG editor, you can add photos, images, videos and documents. The slide deck Blogging Basics: Post and Embed Content will show you how to add a range of digital media to your Rangitaki Portfolio.
