Nearpod

What is it?

Nearpod is a student engagement platform that can be used to create interactive lessons. A teacher can create presentations that can contain Quiz's, Polls, Videos, Images, Drawing-Boards, Web Content and so on. Nearpod can be used to support instruction in a remote, hybrid, and in person setting. Lessons can be designed to be given to complete as a whole class or independently.

Who is it for?

All MPS students have access to Nearpod. Not all teachers may use Nearpod.

Teachers will use this tool to:

  • create interactive/ whole class lessons during synchronous instruction

  • create interactive/ self-paced lessons during asynchronous instruction

  • use multiple formative assessment options in one lesson with 1 tech tool (quizzes, polls, drawing, open response, 3D tours etc.)

  • collect, share and use student responses during synchronous instruction

  • integrate multiple web resources and share with students in one presentation
