North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources

The mission of the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is to improve the quality of life in North Carolina by creating opportunities to experience excellence in the arts, history, libraries and nature in the state. the NCDNCR is home to the state’s 27 historic sites, seven history museums, two art museums, two science museums, three aquariums and Jennette's Pier, 39 state parks and recreation areas, and much more!

Majestic Collaborations

Majestic Collaborations is a consulting firm and service provider specializing in mass gathering resilience and its application as a force multiplier to strengthen local creative economies, expand emergency preparedness, and build climate change resilience.

We believe in the immense power of gatherings—the communal coming together of large groups of people to share, celebrate, debate, rally, dance, sing, and thrive. To us, the beauty and power of mass gatherings is evident in their ability to bring together diverse communities around mutual passions in a successful, safe and sustainable way.

LEAF Global Arts

LEAF Global Arts is on a mission CONNECTING CULTURES and CREATING COMMUNITY through world music, arts education, preservation and experiences. The closest distance between two people is a story, a song, or a dance.

LEAF’s mission comes to life as an agent for positive social impact in many ways and places. The “ways” include: cultural exchanges, residencies, programs, workshops, mentoring, Easel Rider Mobile Art Lab, Learning Journeys, Signature Events, and immersive experiences. “Places” include: LEAF Global Arts Center in downtown Asheville, in communities across the world, in schools, in community centers, at event locations such as Lake Eden in Black Mountain, and downtown Asheville.

The Ben Meyer Recovery Foundation

The Ben Meyer Recovery Foundation works to prevent high-risk substance use, provide support for addiction recovery, and reduce the social stigma of addiction and recovery, in Ben’s honor.

More specifically, we have 3 primary focus areas:

  • Provide financial support to those who can’t afford the continuum of care required to increase their chances of successful recovery from addiction.

  • Raise awareness about the dangers of an increasingly contaminated drug supply.

  • Reduce the social stigma surrounding frank discussion of addiction and substance abuse.

Coyle Solar

Coyle Solar designs, markets, and distributes unitized rugged portable solar power generation solutions, that support critical operations in the construction, disaster management, equipment rental, and humanitarian spaces. Our mission in these select focus areas is to replace the dirty gas-guzzling gas and diesel generators that are not only harmful to our environment, but expensive, fossil-fuel dependent, and dangerous.

Footprint Project

The Footprint Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit disaster resilience organization that helps build back greener providing cleaner energy access to communities in crisis. We work across the disaster management cycle to deploy sustainable technologies where they are needed most. Between disasters, we activate our equipment for community resilience events.

DIYabled

DIYabled is a grassroots group that believes DIY spaces are essential to creating a healthy thriving community. The goal of DIYabled is to provide a place where we can ALL work together to find solutions to make DIY spaces accessible to People Living with Disabilities (PLD). We do this through through events, writing, making art, making videos and documentaries, accessibility consulting, and participating in panels and discussions on subjects that concern the disabled community.
