POST-HIGH SCHOOL PLANNING EVENTS

COLLEGE FAIR

District 207 hosts an annual College Fair every Fall semester. Approximately 160-200 colleges are represented at this event every year. This is a great opportunity to sample a variety of colleges, learn from multiple financial aid presentations, collect information, and make connections with college representatives. College Fair 2017 will take place at Maine East on September 13th from 6:30-8:30 pm.

COLLEGE PLANNING NIGHT FOR GRADES 9-11

College Planning Night is an opportunity for freshmen, sophomore, and junior students to participate in college planning and exploration. Multiple sessions are available to expose students to such topics as Finding the Right College For You, Early Planning for College, and Selective College Admissions. College Planning Night 2018 will take place at Maine East on February 6th, 2018 at 6:30pm.

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT

District 207 Financial Aid Night is designed to educate students and families about college financial aid and affordability. Financial Aid Night 2018 will take place at Maine East on March 8th, 2018 at 6:30pm.

COLLEGE PANELS

District 207 hosts an annual 3-day College Panels. Groups of 3-5 college representatives travel together between each of the Maine schools and speak to students in a panel format. Students and parents are able to ask questions and gather information in a time-effective way. It is a great compromise option between the College Fair and individual college rep visits. College Panels 2018 will take place during school on March 20th, 21st, and 22nd. More information will be posted closer to the event date.

OPTIONS FAIR

Maine East hosts an annual Options Fair that invites various post-secondary training programs that are an alternative to a typical 4-year college education. Participants in the Options Fair include various Military branches, Oakton and other community colleges, trade and vocational programs, and specialty schools (art, aviation, culinary, etc). Options Fair 2018 will take place at Maine East during school on April 4th. More information will be posted closer to the event date.
