Substance Use
Substance use including alcohol, illicit drugs, tobacco, and e-cigarettes are commonly experienced in teens. Abuse of these substances can lead to harmful consequences that affect their education, mental health, relationships, physical health, and behavior. Teens suffering from substance use are also at risk for sexual behaviors, experience with violence, and suicide risks. The School-based health center have provided helpful information and resources for teens dealing with substance use and how parents can get involved to help their teen with substance use.
