Asthma
Asthma is a chronic lung disease that affects people of all ages. In 2019, Asthma affected approximately 262 million people and accounted fro 455,000 deaths (Lancet, 2020). This condition is caused by an inflammation and muscle tightening around the airways, leading to symptoms that include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and tightening of the chest making it difficult to breathe (WHO, 2024).
