Tuesday 2/10: Test on Unit K: DC Circuits
Wednesday 2/11 (1/2 period): Review Test, Do Corrections
Thursday 2/12: Start Unit L, Hand put papers, Discuss Exponential Growth/Decay & Differential Equations, Start with Mechanics and the topic of AIr Resistance, Complete pages 3-6 in packet using Graphing Calculators, Discuss Conceptual reason for air resistance force in terms of the collisions with air for the falling object in the air, sketch the x, v, and a versus t equations for the object without air resistance and then with air resistance, Write differential equation for the object as it falls, Separate variables and then learn how to solve the differential equation--in this case using U-Substitution or Integrating Factor, Determine Equation for the velocity of an object as a function of time
HW: Revisit this derivation and try to repeat these steps without looking at your notes
Friday 2/13 (1/2 period): Discuss Physics Bowl and promote this as an opportunity for any student in physics--2 levels (1st and 2nd year physics students) All Physics C should make sure to register for Year 2, Link for registration can be found below the agenda, Registration ends by Wednesday 2/19, Date of Physics Bowl 4/1 (either AM or PM)
Physics agenda: Any questions on yesterday's derivation, Discuss the equation/result of the derivation for the velocity of an object as a function of time falling with air resistance, From this equation determine the acceleration of the object, now discuss the conceptual side of charge flow in an RC Circuit, answer questions on pages 7-9 in packet, Now take the time to derive the equation for the discharge of a capacitor in an RC Circuit--Write the differential equation using Kirchoff's Loop Rule for this RC Circuit, Separate the Variables and Solve the differential equation for the charge as a function of time in this discharging capacitor, After deriving the equation determine the current as a function of time equation

Tuesday 2/17: Review the solutions to the differential equations we have done thus far, Continue with charging of a capacitor in an RC circuit, quick derivation for an object moving horizontally with air resistance, complete objective 6 with writing growth and decay equations and graphs for both air resistance and RC circuits, Discuss time constants and what the significance of a time constant is, time to work on WebAssign
