Your first line of help and support for algebra is your instructor! Stay a few minutes after class if possible and schedule a time during their office hours. If your math class has an SI (Supplemental Instruction) Leader or embedded tutor, attend the SI sessions and connect with the tutor who is working with your professor. If schedules permit, contact the Study Center to arrange for tutoring through the UMM Student Tutor program

Other online resources for algebra help include Khan Academy. Just click on the "Subjects" link and select the topic that you need. Khan Academy's curriculum is set up to generally match most college texts for basic and intermediate algebra courses. And if you need to do a quick refresher at the more basic arithmetic level (the main stumbling blocks for most adults and non-lovers of math are back at fractions, decimals, and percents, so don't be afraid to go back for a refresher!) Khan Academy has a series of tutorials for that. Most of the Khan lessons are 5 to 10 minutes in length and consist of audio explanation of the video blackboard session.
