Position: Student Volunteer for Advisory Committee/Work Group
Description: Healthy Communities of the Capital Area (HCCA) is a primary prevention non-profit located in Gardiner, ME. HCCA is in search of individuals ages 18-25 to serve on an advisory committee/work group. Healthy Communities of the Capital Area (HCCA) is interested in learning more about substance use prevention and smoking cessation among 18-25 year olds, identifying 2-3 priority issues, and developing strategies to address them in southern Kennebec County. The end product of this project is a plan for the next 2-3 years with strategies to reduce the impact of substance use on people ages 18-25. Involvement from citizens who are aged 18-25 is a top priority for this project.
