LearnToMod Teacher Resources

Many find the prospect of coding a bit intimidating, but don’t worry! LearnToMod comes equipped with a wide assortment of instructional guides and support tools, so in no time at all, you and your students can be coding your own Minecraft Mods, no prior experience necessary!


Signing Up and Using Minecraft Basics Guide:

This guide outlines the steps for signing up for LearnToMod, as well as the basics of playing Minecraft. If you do not already have a LearnToMod account and/or have never played Minecraft, start here!

Associating Your LearnToMod Account

Your LearnToMod account should already be associated with your Minecraft account when you first get it. If a student has their own Minecraft account however, they will need to make a few minor adjustments to their LearnToMod account. This guide outlines those changes.

This detailed guide outlines an entire class worth of semesters, providing example lessons and projects to lead your students in.

MC Remote Guide:

If your classroom uses Chromebooks, or any other device that cannot run Minecraft, you'll definitely want to check out this guide. LearnToMod's exclusive MC Remote service enables student to play Minecraft on any device with a web browser.

Minecraft Controls Cheat Sheet:

This is a basic reference sheet for Minecraft's controls!

Student Nameplates:

These nameplates provide space for students to write in their LearnToMod account information. We recommend giving each student a nameplate during the first class.

Student Journey Sheet:

These sheets help track student progress through LearnToMod's badge based learning system. We recommend giving each student a Journey Sheet during their first class.

Challenge Cards:

These cards provide extra challenges to motivated students. Students can track their completed challenges on their Student Journey Sheet. We recommend making at least 1 copy of challenge cards to keep in your classroom.

Minecraft Basic Survival Guide:

If you have never played Minecraft before, then this is the guide for you! This guide is full of useful crafting recipes, as well as details surviving in the Minecraft world.

Texture Pack Editor Guide

Students are often very excited by the prospect of editing the appearance of their Minecraft game. This can be done with Texture Editing!
