Lab Projects

CA-LINC Study

CA-LINC is a federally funded grant based on the LINC model developed by Drs. Gryglewicz and Karver. The overarching goal of this mixed-methods study is to pilot test a novel care coordination intervention aimed to improve risk detection, service referrals, treatment, continuity of care, and service engagement among Black youth and Black LGBTQ+SGL youth ages 14-17. This study will inform feasibility of a scalable trial for a future R01 study, which will have the potential to improve suicide care practices, reduce disparities, and prevent suicide-related outcomes for diverse black youth.

Florida SMARTS Project

The Florida SMARTS Project is a five-year, federally funded grant with an innovative prevention model that will facilitate youth suicide prevention and early intervention strategies through a multi-system and interconnected approach across multiple delivery systems of care including middle and high schools and community behavioral health agencies. This project aims to reduce suicide rate, decrease mental health risk, and build sustainable prevention services to ultimately improve equity in access to high quality behavioral healthcare in school systems in Florida.

Florida LEADS Project

The Florida LEADS Project is a five-year, federally funded grant based on the Zero Suicide Model and acts as a multi-system approach, rooted in cultural competency and evidence-based research. The project aims to reduce health disparities and inequalities that affect the lives of adults at risk for suicide and/or experiencing behavioral health disorders, serious mental illnesses, and substance abuse addictions.
