AIM 16

Lived Experiences

This aim focuses on incorporating a community-centric approach into research endeavors across the lab. This means consulting with community members, stakeholders, and other people with relevant personal histories in the conception and implementation of suicide prevention research to ensure that the research processes meet the needs of people who have lived experiences with suicide and related mental illnesses. The goal is to pursue research questions and use methodologies that promote inclusivity and respect for people affected by suicide by ensuring that we include the needs and desires of people most directly affected by our research within our research process from beginning to end.
