Intelligent Systems Laboratory [ISL]
The laboratory was established in 1997 at National Dong Hwa University by me for experimental and theoretical research in vision, robotics, and control. Since August 2001, the Laboratory has been affiliated to National Taipei University of Technology. We are interested in and actively working on developing on-line calibrated visual intelligent space for flexible and efficient navigation and control of autonomous mobile robots, and handling multi-robot coordination and cooperation control. Moreover, we are committed to the development of precision positioning system that can be applied to medical radiation therapy, and real-time visual servo technology for automatic assembly systems. We have a nicely equipped experimental research laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment including a six-degree-of-freedom robot arm, experimental mobile robots, CCD/CMOS cameras, workstations, and PCs, etc. Our current members consist of eleven graduate students (1 Ph.D., 11 M.S.) and twelve undergraduate students working on robotics, intelligent space, medical therapy and industrial application projects.
