Dr. Yu-Tien Chang is an Associate Professor in School of Public Health, National Defense Medical Center (NDMC). She earned her PhD. degree in Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences of NDMC in 2017 and served as a visiting research fellow in Harvard Medical School Affiliated Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute For Aging Research in 2024.

Dr. Chang specializes in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and bioinformatics to explore cancer biomarkers and disease-related risk factors. Her research encompasses triple-negative breast cancer, colorectal cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer, as well as aging-related topics. Her lab focuses on genomic/genetic big data analysis, with ongoing developments in single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omics analysis.

In addition, Dr. Chang actively promotes the application of AI in health promotion and medical research. This includes AI-based plate recognition, developing health promotion chatbots, digital health interventions, applying large language models to medical record coding, using multimodal AI for wound description documentation, and real-time heart rate data to predict pain levels. Based on her research findings, she also provides recommendations for public health policy.
