Hosted by Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology
Proposal Deadline: Dec 15, 2025 | Awards Announced: Dec 22, 2025
Psi Chi/Psychology Club is piloting a skill-based certificate training program and invites faculty from all disciplines to submit short, engaging proposals for a new type of student learning experience. The goal is to provide structured, skill-centered certificate series for students—led by faculty—focused on either social-emotional or life skills or technical/professional skills.
This is a low-barrier, high-impact opportunity to pilot innovative ideas with real-world value for students. Selected proposals will receive a $2,000 award, split among the faculty leads if more than one faculty is involved. Here is the application.
What Psi Chi Is Looking For
We are seeking proposals for a certificate series that meets the following criteria:
Three in-person sessions (led by one faculty member or a group of up to four faculty).
A mini-syllabus that clearly describes at least one student deliverable (such as a reflection, mini-project, or presentation).
At least one clearly defined skill that students will practice and reflect on.
A final review by the instructor(s) to determine who earns a completion certificate.
Psi Chi will issue all certificates and will assist with logistics and student engagement. Faculty are encouraged to be creative and practical in their approach.
