Fayette County Schools is looking for curriculum resources that will accelerate our students’ knowledge of Health and Physical Education topics to prepare students to lead healthy, physically active lives while engaging them in the use of 21st Century technology. Curriculum materials/textbooks need to be fully aligned to the Physical Education Georgia Standards of Excellence, Health Education Georgia Performance Standards, and applicable state laws (i.e. Senate Bill 401, Georgia State Board Rule 160-4-2-.12, etc.).
Our plan is to go through a thorough textbook adoption during the 2019-2020 academic year, for implementation during the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Fayette County Board of Education is seeking members of the community to serve on the Materials Adoption Committee. The HPE Adoption Committee will be appointed by the Fayette County Board of Education and will meet to review and evaluate sample curricula materials. Committee members are carefully selected based upon their training and/or experiences in the respective disciplines (Health and/or Physical Education).
