About the Author
Olivia Cafarelli Manzi is a 2025 graduate of Endicott College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Art History. Throughout her undergraduate journey, Olivia cultivated a deep passion for media, culture, and storytelling—interests that were profoundly shaped by her experiences studying abroad in both Europe and Asia. She also worked in Endicott's Global Education Office, serving as a student ambassador and assistant for international education. These immersive opportunities expanded her worldview and solidified her love for travel and cultural exchange.
Olivia’s academic work focuses on the intersection of tourism, media representation, and cultural authenticity. Her senior capstone, Selling Culture: Analyzing Stereotypes in Tourism Advertising, explores how travel media influences perceptions of global destinations, often through a Western lens. Through qualitative interviews and critical analysis, she sheds light on the ethical implications of tourism marketing and the power of user-generated content in shaping more inclusive narratives.
Now, Olivia is pursuing opportunities in travel marketing and global education, where she hopes to bridge cultures through meaningful storytelling, responsible branding, and educational outreach. She is passionate about helping others see the world—not just as consumers, but as curious, respectful participants in a global community.
