Conclusion

As a historical society, Historic Beverly is mainly focused on preserving the history of the city. Obviously, they do this very well, with their archives, plaques, and properties that they upkeep themselves. What they also seek out to do is educate the community on the history of the city they live in. This is a big part of what inspired this project, and I sought out to see what steps they took for this and how effectively they succeeded.

Based on my observations throughout this project, it is clear that they are very successful in this. Through my interviews, I learned lots about the behind the scenes and how they spread information to the community. When I engaged with Beverly citizens at the event, they showed me how much they know about their city's history. Finally, as I engaged myself with all of their information, I too have a greatly deepened understanding of the city, its history, and its important figures. All of this shows me that Historic Beverly is a massive part of how the historic city of Beverly's historic is maintained and thriving.
