Human Resources plays a major role in every organizations. Human Resources Management (HRM) professionals oversee the business of managing people in an organization which includes compensation, recruitments and engagements, benefits, training and development, staffing, employee relations and negotiations, strategic HR management, and many more functions.
The Human Resources Management (HRM) certificate is for those who wish to advance their knowledge in human resources and are interested in entering or transitioning into a human resources career, as well as for other leaders or small business owners who wish to gain general HRM skills to better manage and motivate employees.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
Identify the roles and responsibilities of management, including support of a diverse workforce.
Explain the process and procedures involved in staffing and employee engagement to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Determine appropriate HR communication channels to send messages strategically.
Explain the legal ramifications of ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability in the global business environment.
Credit Toward Graduation. All credits that students earn in obtaining the Certificate of Achievement in Human Resources Management may be applied toward satisfaction of the requirement for graduation from the college.
The minimum time for completion of this certificate is 2 semesters. Completion time will vary based on student preparation and number of classes completed per semester.

To earn a credit certificate from CCSF, you must fulfill the following requirements Coursework: Complete all required courses as listed in the college catalog. Residency requirement: Students must successfully complete at CCSF at least 20% of the units required to earn the certificate. Grade requirement: Students must pass all letter-graded certificate-applicable courses with a C or better and all P/NP certificate-applicable courses with a P.
