Matrimony Mayhem Murder

This disobedient, riotous play is an energetic collage of modern gender politics, love and domestic violence rooted in Charles Mee’s adaptation of the world’s oldest play, Aeschylus’s “The Suppliant Women”.

50 brides flee 50 grooms to an Italian villa worthy of “White Lotus”. The men in hot pursuit jettison in by helicopter and find resistance and submission, love and murder, passionate lovers and a trio of Italian Grandmothers. Featuring live music and tracks from the late 90’s to 00’s.

"Big Love" emerges from the edgy experimental, physical theatre style of Anne Bogart, Tina Landau, using Viewpoints and features a cast of 22. It is an open text that welcomes collage of contemporary expressions about LOVE MARRIAGE AND SEX.
