Maya G. Sen

Professor of Psychology

Maya Sen (your future prof?)

Welcome!

Hello! Thanks for checking out my website! Below I have included information about me and my classes.

Curious about me?

I'm Maya Sen, and have been at CCSF since 2017. I started teaching full-time in 2000 at Northern Michigan University, where I stayed for years. But a person can only put up with so much snow, so eventually I moved back home to the Bay Area. It was an excellent decision. :)

I got my BS in Psychology at Lewis & Clark College, and my PhD in Child Psychology at the University of Minnesota. My specialty areas are infancy, gender development, gender identity, and sexual orientation. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my newphews (4 and 9 years old), read, embroider, and travel (someday I'll make it to all seven continents - 4 down, 3 to go!).
