CHW Principles & Practice 1- 2

Welcome

HLTH 201 & 202 prepares students for Community Health Worker (CHW) positions in the health and social service fields. The course emphasizes skill development in areas such as cultural humility and client-centered assessment, health education and counseling. HLTH 201 is the first semester course course for the CHW programs HLTH 202 is the second semester core course.

Dates: August 19th, 2024- December 20th, 2024

5 units, Hybrid course- requires the use of Canvas

Synchronous Zoom class sessions occur Mondays & Wednesdays, from 5:40-7:30pm

In-person class meetings occur on four Saturdays, from 9:00am- 1:00pm

Adding the Class

If you are requesting an add code, please send a polite email to the instructor with your name, student ID number, and anything else you'd like to share about your motivation to take this course. Please note that the class fills up quickly and moves quickly, so we may not be able to provide ADD codes after the first week. It will take approximately 24 hours from the time you add to be added to Canvas.
