English 1AS adheres to the same attendance and drop policies as English C1000. PLEASE NOTE: It is not possible to drop one of these courses and remain in the other.
Your final grade in English 1AS is determined via a contract grading policy which emphasizes effort and engagement in our virtual learning community. You will earn 2 units of credit for English 1AS as long as you submit all essays and exams, submit a majority of smaller assignments, and meet three times with members of your support team for individualized guidance and feedback. As a result, it is possible to earn a passing grade in English 1AS even if you do not meet the learning outcomes for English C1000.
