Jen at a lake

Get Ready for Fall 2022!

Hi! I'm Jen and I am looking forward to meeting you! A bit about me: I have been teaching English at CCSF since 2005 and absolutely love it. I’m fascinated by writing and the ways it can empower us. But the best thing about my job is working with students! I’m constantly learning from my students who show me new ways to look at things. When I’m not preparing for class or responding to students’ work, you'll find me playing with my puppy, Canela. My wife and I also love to go camping and canoeing.

My English 1A class focuses on the essential question, “How can we know what’s true?” When rumors and disinformation abound on the internet and social media, it’s getting harder and harder to ascertain the truth. You’ll be learning practical tools for evaluating information, pursuing truth, and communicating that truth powerfully in writing.
