Welcome to Spring 2020!

The Latin American and Latino/a Studies Department at City College serves the Latinx communities of San Francisco, as well as others who want to learn more about the largest community of color in California. Our course offerings bridge the divide between Latin America and Latinx communities in the United States.

This semester, Dr. Elkan will be offering Latinx Diaspora: The Impact of Latinxs in the U.S. (LALS 1, MWF 9:10-10:00 AM), Drug Wars in the Americas (LALS 11, fully online via Canvas), and Diego Rivera; Art and Social Change in Latin America (LALS 14, fully online via Canvas). Click the "Courses" tab in the upper right for more information on Dr. Elkan's online classes.
