There are several types of scholarships offered at CCSF. The thing that most students find to be difficult about scholarships is that each scholarship has different eligibility requirements, application procedures, rules, and deadlines. So if you want to apply for scholarships, it will take a bit of work. That said, there are numerous scholarships at CCSF, and we have students who are awarded thousands of dollars each year.
For many scholarships, students will need to have filled out a FAFSA (US Citizens) or a California Dream Act Application (AB 540 students), or alternatively, filling out a California College Promise Grant Application (formerly BOG Fee Waiver). The Office of Financial Aid is very helpful in assisting students who need help in applying for financial aid. While some students might think that these steps are unnecessary because of the Free City College program, it is possible for students to be given additional funds to help cover the cost of their education, such as textbooks, transportation, housing, childcare, etc.

Osher scholarships are available in both the Fall and Spring semesters, and the deadlines are usually fairly early (the third or fourth week of class), so apply early!
The Mosaic Scholarship is only offered in Fall semesters. Applications are usually due in late September.
General scholarships are only offered in Spring semesters. The application usually opens in early February and is due in early March.
