What's a Student Learning Outcome?
Student Learning Outcomes are statements that specify what students will know, be able to do or be able to demonstrate when they have completed or participated in a Course. SLO's specify an action by the student that can be observed, measured or demonstrated.
If you master a learning outcome, that means you've acquired a new skill that can be used in future classes or your career.
Course assignments in Canvas, including discussions are designed to help you master these learning outcomes.

Describe common pathogens in food and the principles of pathogen growth and transmission.
Apply the biological principles of sanitation to protect public health in the food-service business.
Manipulate environmental conditions in food to control both pathogens and fermentation microbes.
Student Learning Outcomes are updated every six years (or sooner!) to ensure that they continue to emphasize the goals that YOU need and are taking this class to learn.
