CCSF has recently changed its procedures for students to add courses. Please review these policies: CCSF Add/Drop Procedures
Face-to-Face Courses
I will add students up to course cap (usually 45) if there are spots available up until the add date. Please note that it is the responsibility of the student to make up any work that they have missed. If you are interested in adding the course, please show up to class after adding yourself to the Class Add Authorization List. I will not add students who have not physically attended the course.
Online and Remote Courses
I will add students off of the waitlist to the course. You must be on the waitlist to get added to the course. After the waitlist, I will take students off of the Class Add Authorization List.
Face-to-Face Courses
If you are not present on the first day of class, I will drop you from the course. Per CCSF policy, I have the right to drop students who have missed 6 hours of class (usually 2 weeks for a 3 unit course); the missed classes do not need to be consecutive. If you are experiencing or anticipating a prolonged absence, please be in communication with me about it.
Online and Remote Courses
In online courses, you must be regularly completing course work to show your "attendance". In the first week of class, you will have some introductory assignments. If you neglect to complete those activities in a timely fashion, I will drop you from the course (this is equivalent to not showing up on the first day). Similar to the face-to-face class, if you stop completing course work without contacting me for two weeks, I will drop you.
