Unit Plan: Animal Facts

During the nation-wide quarantine, I was able to continue my student teaching placement remotely. During this experience, I created, began, and finished a unit on animal facts using the website pebblego.com. As you will see below, finishing this unit required the use of many different online tools.

Graphic Organizer

In this video I go over how to access the animal facts information on pebblego.com. I then go into detail on how to create a graphic organizer and what information should be included on it. I engage their prior knowledge of list making to help them understand what writing for a graphic organizer should look like.

This video shows me using my graphic organizer to create an animal facts book. I teach the students how to turn the bullet points into complete sentences and how to fold and organize their book.

Below are examples of student work which was started and finished remotely and messaged to me on Class Dojo.
