About Me 

Hi Class! My name is Ms. Zagar. I will be graduating from Adelphi University in May 2026 with my Master's degree in childhood education, with an advanced certificate in special education, and an extension in early childhood education. In May 2025, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I spent the first half of this semester teaching in a 3rd-grade ICT class, and the second half in a 6th-grade general education English class. My teaching philosophy is centered on creating a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and confident in their ability to grow. I believe that strong relationships, engaging instruction, and a positive learning environment are all essential for student success. 

My expertise comes from my observations in my program, my student-teaching experience, and an online tutoring program through my Master's Seminar. I have also been an Associate Teacher at a daycare for 4 years, working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. 

I am very excited to work with you to enhance several skills in math, science, social studies, reading, and writing. We are going to practice respect towards all adults and our classmates, and have fun learning together. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging classroom where you all feel valued and encouraged to grow academically and socially.

I competed on the Aelphi Track and Field team while I was in my undergrad program. I still enjoy working out, and I love spending time with family and friends.
