CURRENT UNIT OVERVIEW
Unit #5 Functions: January 5 - January 16, 2026
In this unit, you'll build on what you learned about functions in 8th grade. You'll learn function notation and use it to write rules, compare functions, and solve for missing inputs and outputs. You'll also learn how to read and describe graphs of functions and connect them to real-life situations. Along the way, you'll explore domain and range, piecewise functions, the absolute value function, and inverses of linear functions. Throughout the unit, you'll use math to model real-world situations and develop a powerful set of tools for understanding how quantities relate to each other.
