Founded in 1992 as a safe alternative to large, failing schools nearby, EBC High School for Public Service-Bushwick (EBC) was created in response to community activism by East Brooklyn Congregations, a consortium of churches and homeowners' associations that works to rebuild communities in Brownsville, East New York, and Bushwick. EBC is a safe learning environment created to serve the community. We stand on hallowed grounds. Founder's, leaders, and veteran staff members reflect on their time here at EBC.
